What you’ll be doing

  • Contributing to, or being responsible for, elements of the assessment, planning and implementation of support for people who use the service (or potential new admissions), including meeting general care needs, maximizing independence and community participation as appropriate, in conjunction with the service user and their advocates.
  • Contributing to the proper maintenance of all reports and records in order to ensure compliance with good practice guidelines and legislative, statutory and organisational requirements, including but not limited to health and safety, personnel data, care plans, staff supervisions.

You will need to demonstrate an up-to-date working knowledge of all regulatory and procedural requirements related to the management of the service and service user support plans, ensuring full compliance with both internal and external standards, as evidenced through inspections, monitoring visits, and audits. They will have proven experience in overseeing key areas of service provision and be capable of taking overall responsibility for the service in the manager’s absence, including coordinating and delivering high-quality support to service users. A sound understanding of budgets is desirable, along with the ability to develop and implement effective marketing plans. Additionally, the candidate should recognise the value of public relations activity and its positive impact within a care home environment.
