Priory is looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our team at a brand-new, nurse-led residential service in Melton Mowbray supporting individuals with complex mental health needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering a pioneering service.

What you'll be doing

  • You'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients.
  • Ensure that the people who use our service have any personal needs or requirements met; including personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living tasks.
  • To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
  • Complete daily administration including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.
  • Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders.
  • Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.

What you'll bring to the role

  • Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.
  • The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or a related area, or an equivalent or higher recognised qualification, along with a GCSE or NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths.
  • It is recognised that not all new recruits will already hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification; however, they will be expected to commence the attainment process within six months of joining and complete the qualification within a specified timeframe.
  • Experience of working in a related environment is desirable.
