Description
Set within beautiful, landscaped gardens, Priory Hospital Southampton’s tranquil environment offers therapeutic and recovery-focused residential treatment for those suffering from a number of mental health conditions. We can support adult males and females with acute mental health needs, as well as eating disorders.
What you\’ll be doing
- Provide efficient and effective administrative support to the hospital and particularly the medical team. This will regularly include typing, minute taking, receiving telephone enquiries, diary and appointment management, managing correspondence, meeting and greeting visitors and other administrative tasks as appropriate. You will also be required to liaise with other Priory Healthcare sites and departments, Insurers, GPs and Commissioners regarding specific patient details and invoicing.
- To provide cross cover within specified Medical Secretaries teams, as assigned by your line manager.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our patients, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- You will be required to accurately record Independent Consultant time to ensure appropriate invoicing controls are in place for the hospital. Independent Consultant Time is designated as time you spend completing tasks assigned to you by a Consultant.
What you\’ll bring to the role
The ideal candidate will bring excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to audio-type, alongside a strong understanding of medical terminology. They will be passionate about delivering a high-quality service to the hospital, demonstrating strong organisational abilities, the capacity to prioritise their own workload, and a keen eye for detail. A team player with a high level of confidentiality and integrity, they will contribute to making a real and lasting difference for everyone supported. In addition, they will have experience in an administrative, customer service, clinical, or other appropriate background, with proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and share workloads to ensure the smooth running of the department. While working within established procedures and processes, they will also show adaptability and initiative, particularly when engaging with patients and their families.
