Priory Supported Living North Yorkshire is looking to recruit a Bank Support Worker to join the team in Market Weighton. Supported Living North Yorkshire delivers tailored outreach support across North Yorkshire and the East Riding. We work with adults diagnosed with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health conditions, often with complex needs. Our 24/7 specialist supported living services are designed to promote independence while providing the right level of support, including 1:1 and 2:1 staffing where required. We empower individuals to build essential life skills and live as independently as possible.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our resident wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Bank Support Worker, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards. To undertake key working responsibility for individual service users, supporting the individual to plan goals and personal outcomes and ensure that these are comprehensively documented and reviewed.

What you'll bring to the role

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows. The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or a related area, or an equivalent or higher recognised qualification. They should also have GCSEs or an NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths. It is acknowledged that not all new recruits will have obtained the NVQ Level 2 qualification upon appointment; however, they will be expected to begin the process of attaining it within six months of joining and complete it within a specified timeframe. While experience of working in a related environment is desirable, it is not essential.
