Part-time – 14 Hours
Priory Hospital Southampton is looking for a Therapist to join the team working with people who have Eating Disorders.
This role is offered on a part-time basis, working 14 hours per week. The salary for these hours is £14,612 per annum.
Priory Hospital Southampton, Marchwood, Southampton is a residential mental health service providing acute and eating disorder care for adult males and females. It is accessible by public transport, with a bus stop at the end of the access road and Totton railway station approximately 5 miles away, with Redbridge station around 7 miles away. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
As a Therapist, you will also, but not limited to:
- Undertakes referrals and initial assessments, identifying clients’ therapeutic needs and delivering appropriate individual and group interventions.
- Manages an allocated caseload, monitoring progress and ensuring therapy plans and outcomes are delivered within agreed timescales.
- Maintains accurate clinical records and works closely with the MDT, contributing to case reviews, audits, research and service development.
- Ensures practice meets legislation, quality standards and KPIs, while supporting service improvement, value for money and positive client outcomes.
- Open to 1:1 work with patients suffering from an eating disorder.

What you'll bring to the role
Essential for the role
Applicants should be qualified in Integrative Therapy or CBT, with additional accredited training and/or experience in eating disorders. Applicants should have post-qualification experience in mental health settings, including inpatient and/or outpatient services.
Accreditation:
Accreditation with a relevant professional body is required. If the accreditation body is National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), Senior Accreditation is required; otherwise, candidates must be working towards the required level of accreditation. In certain circumstances, we may consider applicants who are working towards accreditation, provided this can be completed within 12 months of appointment.
