Priory Hospital Cheadle is looking to recruit a Consultant Psychologist to join the team on our inpatient CAMHS and EDU ward. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours. Set within picturesque landscaped gardens in Stockport, Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a range of comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults. The focus of our service is to help people to live their best life in a safe and supportive environment.
What you'll be doing
- You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients' wellbeing.
- You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans.
- You will contribute to the development of, and audit of services, at your site and more broadly when required.
- You will work with a dynamic multi-professional team leading development of individual formulations and psychological assessment.
- You will provide support and guidance to other psychologists, assistants and trainee psychologists.
- You will be working with clients with complex needs that are relevant to the population in the service area.
What you'll bring to the role

- The ideal candidate will have a confident grasp of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) along with proficiency in at least two other therapeutic modalities.
- Experience in working with complex clients and delivering highly specialist interventions is essential.
- Training in clinical supervision, as well as experience in conducting assessments relevant to the specific environment and population, is required.
- The candidate should bring leadership and management experience, alongside proven skills in service planning and development.
