Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal has an opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse who is a Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with 6-12 months post-registration experience, with active NMC Registration and a completed preceptorship programme, to join our team. Fern is a 10-bedded personality disorder ward for females. Conveniently located in Cheadle, the hospital benefits from excellent public transport links, including rail and bus services, a peaceful rural setting with access to nearby towns and transport connections, and easy access to motorways A34 and two minutes from the M60, M56, and A555.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team that is committed to supporting people's wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), you will provide person-centred care by assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating nursing care tailored to patients' individual needs. You will monitor patient progress, update care plans, respond to changes in condition, and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care. You will prioritise and delegate nursing responsibilities, act as nurse in charge when required, and maintain professional standards by adhering to safeguarding, medicines management, the NMC Code, and organisational policies. Committed to continuous professional development, you will participate in clinical supervision, support newly qualified staff as a preceptor, and strive to deliver high-quality, compassionate care while promoting positive outcomes for patients and their families.

What you'll bring to the role

  • Minimum 6 months post registration experience within Mental Health or Learning Disabilities Care Environment, evidence of continued professional development in relevant field
  • Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with 6-12 months post registration experience with active NMC Registration and completed preceptorship programme.
