Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal, Stockport is an inpatient mental health service for young people and adults. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes along Wilmslow Road and Cheadle Hulme and East Didsbury railway stations approximately 1-2 miles from the service.
You will provide high quality clinical care for patients referred to the hospital and work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that clients receive a holistic and person-centric care and treatment programme based on the recovery model. Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and the development of a therapeutic milieu.
Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
Supervising the process of referral and admission including contributing to preadmission assessments of young people with other team members. Offering a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the assessment, formulation and treatment of adults.

Essential:
- Applicants must hold MRCPsych (or an equivalent qualification), a CCT (or equivalent) and be included on the GMC Specialist Register, along with Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status.
- They must demonstrate clinical knowledge, skills, and experience relevant to the speciality, the ability to work within and lead a team, and a commitment to shared leadership, collaborative working, and service improvement.
- Candidates should also have evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
- Experience working in inpatient settings with individuals facing significant mental health challenge
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
