Priory Hospital North London is looking to recruit a Speciality Doctor to join the team. This is a full time/37.5 Hour role. Located in London, in a peaceful and secluded part of Southgate, Priory Hospital North London is set within a striking Grade I listed building, overlooking beautiful parklands. Since North London first opened its doors in 1986, we have worked tirelessly to establish our excellent reputation as a specialist provider of mental health care.

What you'll be doing:

  • You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients' wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.
  • You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
  • Deliver comprehensive clinical care and expert consultation within the specialty area, managing complex and acute cases with precision.
  • Lead diagnostic evaluations, including ordering and interpreting advanced tests and imaging, to inform evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Perform specialized procedures and interventions in accordance with best practices and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—including nurses, allied health professionals, and other specialists—to coordinate holistic patient management.
  • Engage actively in teaching medical students, residents, and junior staff, fostering a learning environment and supporting professional development.
  • Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and research projects to advance specialty knowledge and improve patient outcomes.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
