Priory Hospital Enfield has an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is offered on a Part Time basis working 30 hours per week over 4 amount of days. The Pro Rata salary for this role is Β£21,040.

Priory Hospital Enfield, Edmonton, North London is an acute and secure mental health service for adult males and females, including medium secure, low secure and acute wards. It provides specialist assessment, treatment and care for individuals with severe mental illness and complex needs. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus services and Edmonton Green Overground station nearby. It is approximately 2 miles from central London, with the A10 and M25 also within easy reach.

What you'll be doing

You'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn't involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
You'll support the Maintenance Manager in ensuring the hospital is safe, well-maintained and welcoming for patients, colleagues and visitors. You'll carry out day-to-day maintenance, repairs and minor improvement works while helping to maintain high property standards and ensuring a clean, safe and pleasant environment for everyone.You can find additional information in the attached job description.

What you'll bring to the role

Essential for the role

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A positive, customer-focused approach and strong team-working skills.

The following experience would be beneficial

  • Experience or knowledge in a building, plumbing, mechanical or electrical trade.
