Priory Hospital Enfield has an opportunity for a Fitness Instructor to join our team. Priory Hospital Enfield, Edmonton, North London, is an acute and secure mental health service for adult males and females, including medium-secure, low-secure, and acute wards. It provides specialist assessment, treatment and care for individuals with severe mental illness and complex needs.
We're looking for an enthusiastic Fitness Instructor to support patients through safe, engaging and personalised fitness programmes that complement their individual therapeutic and care plans. You'll work closely with clinical teams to promote physical health, wellbeing and positive outcomes.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and deliver individual and group fitness programmes.
- Complete risk assessments and tailor sessions to patients' needs.
- Work closely with therapy and clinical teams to support patient care.
- Maintain accurate records and report relevant information.
- Ensure fitness equipment is safe, secure, and well-maintained.
- Contribute to meetings, audits and service development.
Essential for the role:
The successful candidate will hold an appropriate Level 3 Fitness Instructor qualification and be registered with REPs. A valid First Aid certificate, including CPR, is also required. A good understanding of the role of diet and nutrition in supporting health and wellbeing is essential.
