Priory Hospital Lincolnshire is looking to recruit a Staff Nurse RMN to join the team. This is a full‑time role of 37.5 hours a week. Located in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, Priory Hospital Lincolnshire is a low secure unit for males with mental health conditions. It offers support to those who are detained under the Mental Health Act (MHA).

What you'll be doing

  • You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients' wellbeing.
  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
  • Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patient's named nurse.
  • Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.
  • Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
  • Evaluate and respond to changes in patient’s condition and needs.
  • Deal proactively and effectively with suggestions and complaints from patients and their families/carers.

What you'll bring to the role

  • The ideal candidate will be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6–12 months of post‑registration experience, holding an active NMC registration and having successfully completed a preceptorship programme.
  • They will possess a strong understanding of NMC guidelines, requirements, and professional practices, alongside evidence of ongoing continuing professional development.
  • Candidates should demonstrate a positive attitude and a commitment to change, improvement, and high‑quality care, with the ability to adopt flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Applicants should also have a minimum of six months’ post‑registration experience within a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment, supported by continued professional development within a relevant field.
