Priory Carlton House is looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker to join the team. This is a full time, 37.5 hour role. Carlton House is located in Rothwell Haigh, near to Leeds. It offers residential support for 10 males, including males on the autism spectrum and males with a learning disability. Carlton Cottage, which is immediately adjacent, offers support for a further six males, and has an all-male staff team. Our team are dedicated to working with each individual we support on a person-centred basis to create and achieve goals to meet their own expectations. We want to help each person we care for to have a healthy, happy and independent life, within a safe and welcoming home. We can also support those who have:

  • Complex needs
  • Mild to moderate behaviour that may challenge
  • A forensic background

What you'll be doing:

  • You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.
  • You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.
  • Supervise and support the delivery of person-centred support and care.
  • Provide leadership during shifts, including handovers, role allocation, and effective communication.
  • Ensure residents have person-centred plans in place and are supported to participate in meaningful activities.
  • Deliver team supervisions and contribute to professional development.
  • Administer medication safely and in line with procedures.
  • Manage service users’ finances and contribute to budget management in accordance with policy.
  • Complete and oversee accurate record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with legislation.
  • Monitor and support team performance, addressing immediate operational issues as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date training and knowledge to ensure safe and effective practice.
