Shifts: Week 1: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays (Days/Nights) Week 2: Mondays, Tuesdays, Saturdays & Sundays (Days/Nights & Weekends) (Subject to change depending on the Hospital needs)

You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team alongside our qualified staff, you will help to meet the psychological and emotional needs of a diverse group of individuals, with varying degrees of mental health. Responsibilities:
- Support our residents with in-house activities and hobbies
- Providing support to achieve everyday goals including personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting
- Manage some behaviours that challenge
- Observe, monitor and record physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff
- Provide emotional support to individuals and their families
- Support and monitor healthcare needs, including administering medication and temperature checks
- Understand communication needs and adapt your communication to each individual
- Work with other professionals, such as nurses and therapists, to ensure consistency of support
- Analyse an individual’s needs and draw up a focused support plan
Priory Hospital Ticehurst House’s Highlands Unit is a nine-bedded acute mental health unit, providing person-centred assessment, treatment and support for adults. Highlands is situated in a character building, within our extensive main grounds, in the beautiful East Sussex countryside. We accept patients with a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, stress and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Disclosure: All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland, and the cost of this will be covered by Priory.
