Priory Hospital Glasgow is a leading inpatient treatment centre in the UK, providing specialist care for a wide range of mental health conditions and addictions. Conveniently located with excellent public transport links from Glasgow City Centre.
What you'll be doing
You will join the team on the Eating Disorder Inpatient Unit. The role includes managing a small caseload, working with patients both individually and in a group setting, and providing therapeutic interventions under the guidance and instruction of the Registered Psychologist. You will also:
- Completion of reports, data collection, data input, and research tasks
- Attendance and participation in team meetings
- Participation in multidisciplinary team (MDT) case conferences
- Attendance at continuing professional development (CPD) events
- Previous experience in intervention facilitation (desirable but not essential)
- Experience working with eating disorders and/or personality disorders (desirable but not essential)
- Regular supervision and training will be provided
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team is essential
What you'll bring to the role
You will be expected to apply the learning from your undergraduate degree in psychology in your work, under the supervision of an experienced and HCPC-registered practitioner psychologist.
