Bank Staff Nurse

Priory Burston House is looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to join the team. Priory Burston House, located in the historic market town of Diss, near the border of Suffolk, provides level 2 rehabilitation for male patients with a learning disability. Across rehabilitation and low secure care, our specialist learning disability service also cares for adults who may have complex mental health needs, including autism and personality disorders.

What you'll be doing:

  • You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients.
  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
  • Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.
  • Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.
  • Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
  • Evaluate and respond to changes in patient’s condition and needs.

The ideal candidate will hold current NMC registration and have successfully completed a preceptorship programme. They will demonstrate a strong understanding of NMC guidelines, standards, and professional practices, along with clear evidence of continued professional development following registration.
