Old Vicarage is looking to recruit a Support Worker to join the team. This is a bank role covering day and night shifts. The Old Vicarage is located close to Dewsbury town. It offers residential support for seven adult males and females with a range of needs. This includes adults with a learning disability, individuals with mental health needs, and people on the autism spectrum.

What you'll be doing

  • You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service.
  • Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, supporting with care requirements, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
  • Be reliable, friendly and caring to help our residents achieve their everyday goals (including personal care).
  • Be able to support in house activities and hobbies.
  • Be attentive and inspire our residents to achieve more!
  • Be resilient and help manage some behaviours that challenge.
