Priory Hospital Dewsbury is looking to recruit a Bank Driver to join the team. This is a bank role of 0 hours per week. Based in the village of Calverton, in Nottingham and set in extensive grounds, Priory Hospital Arnold is an inpatient acute and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU), for males and females struggling with a wide range of mental health conditions.

What you'll be doing

You'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn't involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

  • Drives patients, children, young people/adults to a variety of different activities, ensuring that the journey is completed in a safe and timely manner, using the most efficient route.
  • Complies at all times with Priory Driving Policy.
  • Drives staff and other visitors to/from the unit as required by the line manager.
  • Collects and delivers consumables or assets for the unit.
  • Ensures that the unit's vehicles are cleaned regularly, and that any damage or faults are dealt with immediately.
  • Also ensures that the vehicles are fuelled at all times.

What you'll bring to the role

  • Basic numeracy and literacy.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Some experience gained within an appropriate driving-based role.
