Priory Hospital Bristol has an opportunity for a Deputy Ward Manager with Active Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council to join our team on our Female Acute.

Priory Hospital Bristol, Stapleton, Bristol is a specialist mental health and addiction treatment service for individuals, families and couples. It provides fast access to treatment for a range of psychiatric conditions and addictions. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes serving Stapleton and Bristol Parkway railway station approximately 2–3 miles from the hospital.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team that is committed to supporting people's wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.

Works as a Senior Nurse within the ward, ensuring a safe, therapeutic and inclusive environment for patients, families, visitors and staff. Applies relevant policies, statutory requirements and governance frameworks, ensuring risks are assessed and managed and safe staffing and skill mix are maintained. Provides clinical leadership and supervision, supports the CPD, mandatory training, appraisal and performance management of staff, and acts as a role model for learning and development. Supports junior staff and student nurses, implements and evaluates therapeutic interventions, promotes patient involvement and collaborative problem-solving, and contributes to effective multidisciplinary working and risk management. Acts as Named Nurse and Associate Nurse, regularly leads shifts, undertakes ward lead roles, provides clinical supervision, and deputises for the Ward Manager when required.   • At least 18 Months – 2 years’ experience post-registration Demonstrable expertise within a clinical speciality
