The Vines is located in the beautiful town of Crowborough, East Sussex. It offers residential support for 12 males and females with an acquired brain injury (ABI), traumatic brain injury (TBI) and progressive neurological conditions (PNCs). This includes Parkinson’s disease, stroke and Korsakoff's syndrome. We are on a private road, in a semi-rural location. Our team are dedicated to promoting independence and helping every person we care for to return back into the community, where possible. We want to support our residents to achieve their life goals.
We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and motivated Assistant Psychologist to join our Psychology Department. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced, HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologists, supporting the delivery of high‑quality psychological care and helping to improve the mental, emotional, physical, and social wellbeing of our service users. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will gain valuable clinical experience while contributing to psychological assessment, intervention, research, and service development within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct protocol-based psychological assessments under the supervision of a qualified psychologist using psychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, structured observations, and semi-structured interviews.
- Assist in the formulation, planning, and delivery of psychological care plans and interventions.
- Support the planning, coordination, and co-facilitation of therapeutic groups.
- Assist in delivering one-to-one therapeutic sessions under supervision.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records, case notes, reports, and other documentation in line with organisational policies.
- Attend and actively contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Support research and service evaluation by collecting, analysing, and interpreting clinical and psychometric data, conducting literature reviews, and assisting with report writing.
- Contribute to the training and support of colleagues where appropriate.

- A recognised undergraduate degree in Psychology.
- A strong understanding of psychological theory and evidence-based practice.

- An interest in research, data analysis, and service evaluation.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to working under the supervision of an experienced and HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist while continuing your professional development.
