An opportunity has arisen for a full time chef at Priory Hospital Burgess Hill. We require the successful candidate to be able to work Wednesday-Sunday, (days off in the week can be negotiated) from 9am-5pm.

Our chefs provide a high quality service to our patients through the creation, presentation and delivery of meals. Working within a senior capacity within the catering team the successful candidate will assist with planning, preparation and cooking of meals. You will be responsible for following our company Health and Safety policies and procedures, monitoring quality whilst ensuring high levels of service.

What we need from you?

  • Numerate, literate and qualified to NVQ2 or equivalent & basic qualification in food hygiene.
  • Organises and prioritises own workload within established procedures.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to monitor costs and liaise with suppliers.
  • Good organisation and time management.
  • Knowledge of specialised diets may be required (Dysphagia, Allergens, etc.).
  • First class customer service skills.
