Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is looking to recruit a registered mental health nurse to join the team in our psychiatric intensive care unit, bespoke therapeutic placement unit and dialectical behaviour therapy unit. This is a full time 37.5 hours role. Set within picturesque landscaped gardens in Stockport, Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a range of comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults.

What you'll be doing

  • You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients' wellbeing.
  • Providing and supporting nursing care within the ward environment, including acting as a named nurse for a defined group of patients.
  • Assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care in collaboration with patients and their families/carers, ensuring it reflects individual needs and preferences.
  • Accurately observing, communicating with, and engaging service users to assess their needs and evaluate their progress.
  • Promoting and adhering to the DBT model (for DBT unit roles).
  • Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance processes.

What you'll bring to the role

  • A Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC PIN and a minimum of six months post-registration experience in a mental health setting.
  • Confident communicators with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, demonstrating flexibility, innovation, and a strong motivation for quality improvement.
  • Proficiency in IT and the ability to use electronic care systems effectively.
  • A thorough knowledge of NMC standards and a commitment to best practice.
