Description

Priory Elton Unitis looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to join the team. This is a part time role for 15 hours a week.

The Elton Unit is located on the outskirts of Bury, Greater Manchester. It is a 28-bedded specialist care home which provides residential and nursing support to adults aged 18 years and older who have a brain injury.

The brain injury service is aimed at those whose disability requires management by a specialist team of practitioners who work together to maintain the person\’s wellbeing and quality of life. The Elton Unit offers specialist care for a wide range of complex support needs, including people with a prolonged disorder of consciousness (PDOC).

What you\’ll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you\’re assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

  • Assists catering staff with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with the company’s Assured Safe Catering policies and procedures
  • Under direction, takes responsibility for parts of the catering operation
  • Amends the services to suit the needs of the site
