Priory Hospital Cardiff is looking to recruit a Housekeeper to join the team. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours a week. Located just a few miles outside Cardiff, South Wales, Priory Hospital Cardiff supports the NHS by offering low secure services for males and females with a personality disorder, a learning disability or a mental health diagnosis. Care is provided across three bespoke therapeutic placements (BTPs), each offering specialist, tailored treatment in the least restrictive environment possible.
What you'll be doing
- You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients.
- Your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone.
- Delivers and maintains a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, in line with operational standards and ensures that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
- Ensures that Priory minimum standards are delivered in all home areas in a timely and efficient manner, as part of a team.
- Identifies and reports damage, faults and other related issues to the maintenance department or home manager to ensure that environmental conditions continue to meet quality standards and statutory regulations.
What you'll bring to the role

- A good standard of English, together with basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided.
- The post holder will be responsible for responding to routine enquiries and providing basic information where appropriate, while referring more complex issues or queries to their line manager.
