Priory Hospital Bristol is looking to employ an enthusiastic and experienced senior occupational therapist to work on our Enhanced Rehab & Recovery unit. The unit has 24/7 admissions combining acute stabilisation with recovery-focused rehabilitation for patients with cognitive impairments.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Undertaking comprehensive OT assessments.
  • Developing and implementing person-centred care plans.
  • Facilitating therapeutic interventions.
  • Assessing and reviewing moving-and-handling equipment.
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team including therapists, nursing professionals, medical staff, psychology services, healthcare support workers, and exercise and wellbeing practitioners.
  • Applying occupational therapy skills, completing thorough risk assessments, and using evidence-based practice to guide therapeutic interventions.
  • Supporting the Lead OT in ensuring the OT services across the site are effective, person-centred, proactive, and support Priory objectives.
  • Working alongside an occupational therapy assistant and providing supervision to other occupational therapy staff.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Minimum 2 years’ working as an occupational therapist across neurocognitive and mental health settings.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.
  • HCPC registration is required.
