Priory Hospital Bristol is seeking to hire a Registered Psychologist for an exciting role. This is a part time role working 30 hours per week. Salary is up to £46,816 depending on experience. This is an opportunity to provide psychological therapy to patients receiving treatment in our Acute wards at Redcliffe and Blackwell. The Care Quality Commission rates our services as “good”.
Bristol Hospital (Stapleton, M32): Our Grade II listed hospital building is set in extensive grounds, just off the M32 and less than three miles from the centre of Bristol, with free on-site parking.
What you'll be doing:
- Receive and respond promptly to referrals
- Conduct specialist psychological assessments and develop effective therapy plans
- Deliver individual and group therapy using appropriate, evidence-based interventions
- Manage an allocated caseload within agreed timescales
- Maintain regular communication with clients, MDT members, and clinical staff
- Keep accurate, up-to-date clinical records, reports, and electronic documentation
- Present and share relevant client information at MDT meetings
Clinical & Professional Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist psychological interventions and standard care plans
- Offer specialist advice, consultation, and guidance to other professionals
- Exercise autonomous responsibility for assessment, treatment, and discharge
- Administer psychometric tests and other evidence-based assessments
- Undertake risk assessment and risk management
- Provide clinical supervision to an Assistant Psychologist

Essential: HCPC registration and Clinical Psychologist registration. Priory Hospital Bristol team works with clients with complex mental health problems, including complex emotional needs, psychosis, bipolar affective disorder, recurrent depression and complex PTSD. We are interested in candidates with specialist training in DBT. Additional training in other psychotherapies such as CBT, CBTp, MBT, CAT, EMDR and ACT would be a bonus.
