We are seeking an experienced Optima Trainer to support the implementation of a new rostering platform across the organisation. Working with the Project Office and external contractors, you will deliver training, support system adoption, and assist with the development of policies, SOPs, and training materials. Experience using Optima (Loop/SafeCare) is preferred; however, experienced IT Systems Trainers will also be considered. This role requires extensive travel across the UK, including regular overnight stays away from home, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential. A car allowance is provided. The role is offered on a 6 months fixed term basis.
What you'll be doing
- You will support technical discussions with Systems Specialists to ensure proposed solutions meet business requirements.
- Assist in the development of rostering policies, SOPs, and system processes to become a subject matter expert in the platform.
- Deliver training to colleagues to ensure they are fully competent in their role requirements.
- Provide both remote and onsite support to successfully embed knowledge and drive system adoption across the organisation.
- Help promote consistency and best practice in the use and integration of systems.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders and support the Project Office with the coordination of training sessions, workshops, meetings, and events.
- Travel nationally to deliver face-to-face training and monitor progress against project plans, escalating any risks or non-compliance where required.
What you'll bring to the role
- The ability to quickly learn and master new IT systems, using your knowledge and experience to confidently train and support others.
- Understand, interpret, and effectively communicate policies and SOPs, ensuring colleagues feel supported throughout the learning process.
- Patience, resilience, and a positive approach to coaching and training others are essential.
- An understanding of how system configuration can support operational effectiveness and best practice.
- Experience or knowledge of Healthcare and/or Adult Care systems, processes, and policies would be advantageous.
- Working knowledge of RL Datix/Allocate HealthRoster, BankStaff, Loop, and SafeCare.
