Priory Lichfield Road is looking to recruit a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the team. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours a week. Based in Walsall, West Midlands, Priory Lichfield Road is a rehabilitation service offering both level 1 and 2 care, all set within a modern, purpose-built centre. It is specifically designed to support both males and females who have severe, complex and enduring mental health needs, which might include treatment-resistant conditions.
What you'll be doing
- You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing.
- Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
- Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.
- Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.
- Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
- Evaluate and respond to changes in patient’s condition and needs.
What you'll bring to the role
- The post holder must be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6–12 months post-registration experience, active NMC registration, and a completed preceptorship programme.
- Provide evidence of post-registration continuing professional development.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude with a strong commitment to change, improvement, and quality.
- Ability to develop and apply flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum of six months’ post-registration experience within a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment.
