Autumn Leaf House is looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker to join their team. This is a full-time role.
Pay Rate: £13.40 per hour
Shifts: Day & Night Shifts: 07:45 - 20:15 & 19:45 - 08:15 on a rotating shift pattern to include weekend working.
Autumn Leaf House is located in Castle Bromwich, Solihull. Our home offers residential support for eight people who are autistic. We are on a quiet street, near the town centre. Our team is dedicated to improving the quality of life of the people we care for by setting achievable goals, to meet their individual needs and provide meaningful relationships and activities.
Responsibilities:

- As a Senior Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.
- You will provide support with day-to-day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living.
- As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
- You will have gained experience in a similar setting, supervising and leading others.
- While a formal qualification is not required, you should be willing to complete a Level 3 qualification in Team leadership and management with Priory.
Qualifications:
- Supervise colleagues, lead team meetings and support your peers with their performance and professional development.
- Lead support planning and act as point of contact in the absence of site leadership.
- Assist with the management of site petty cash and client funds.
- Support with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes.
- Assist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals.
- Provide assistance and support to attend medical appointments.
- Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff.
- Support the development of important family connections and liaise with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams.
- Encourage participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth.
