Egerton Road is looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker to join their team. This is a full-time position.
Pay: £13.10 per hour
Shift: 40.5 hours per week. Various shifts across 7 days (Nights & Weekends included)
Egerton Road is located in Bexhill-on-Sea, in East Sussex. It offers residential support and neuro-rehabilitation for 11 males and females with an acquired brain injury (ABI) or a progressive neurological condition (PNC). Our team is dedicated to supporting residents to return to the community through a programme of slow-stream rehabilitation. Independence, socialisation within the local community and daily routines are actively encouraged.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise colleagues, lead team meetings and support your peers with their performance and professional development
- Lead support planning and act as point of contact in the absence of site leadership
- Assist with the management of site petty cash and client funds
- Support with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
- Assist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
- Assist with attending medical appointments
- Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
- Support the development of important family connections and liaise with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams
- Encourage participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth
