Priory Hospital Cardiff is recruiting Bank Staff Nurses to join our team.
Priory Hospital Cardiff is a modern mental health treatment unit with facilities including three secure gardens, a gym, a hydrotherapy pool, patient practice kitchens, social areas, art rooms, and dedicated support service areas.
The service is being developed to offer bespoke treatment packages for patients with complex mental health needs. The environment promotes independence and employs a multidisciplinary team to support patient progress.
As a Bank Staff Nurse, you will work within a team of various professionals, providing high-quality care in a locked, specialized mental health rehabilitation setting. The patient group includes individuals with Personality Disorder, Learning Disability, and Enduring Mental Illness.
You will offer your services on an as-needed basis, supervise Healthcare Workers, encourage group work, administer medication, and monitor patients\’ mental health throughout your shift.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities
- Registered nurse with active NMC PIN
- Relevant clinical experience
- Positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality
- Flexible and innovative approaches to practice
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Day shifts: 07:30 to 19:45
- Night shifts: 19:30 to 07:45
