Priory Hospital Barnt Green is looking to recruit a Bank Mental Health Nurse to join the team in our purpose-built hospital with a 10-bed private ward
We offer mental health support for both adults and young people, including access to specialist therapy and psychiatry. We also provide private autism assessments for adults, helping people better understand themselves and access the right support.

What you\’ll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients
  • Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary team
  • Participate in regular clinical and non-clinical meetings and attend other meetings as requested
  • Prioritise nursing duties and delegate appropriately and effectively within the shift co-ordination Framework, working as nurse in charge as required, ensuring as far as reasonable practicable a safe environment.
  • Maintain a continued level of personal professional development in accordance to preceptorship and revalidation.

The ideal candidate is a qualified RMN with 6–12 months post-registration experience, active NMC registration, and completion of a preceptorship programme. They have solid knowledge of NMC guidelines and professional practices, with evidence of continuing professional development. They demonstrate a positive attitude, commitment to improvement and quality, and the ability to apply flexible, innovative approaches to practice. Strong verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to adapt their style to suit different environments and audiences.
