Priory Lombard House is looking to recruit a Senior Staff Nurse to join the team. This is a part time 26.88 hours role. The candidate will be working to the following pattern:
- Each day shift will be from 07:30 to 19:45 with a 1.5 hour unpaid break.
- Week 1 – Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday
- Week 2 – Wednesday and Friday.
Located in Norfolk near the market town of Attleborough, Priory Lombard House is a specialist level 2 rehabilitation service for males with a learning disability. Care also extends to a dual diagnosis of autism, personality disorder and mental health conditions, with or without a history of offending behaviour.
What you'll be doing:
- You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients' wellbeing.
- Deliver prescribed care to a defined group of patients/Service users that reflect their individual needs.
- Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patient's named nurse.
- Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary team.
- Build relationships and effectively communicate and engage with external professionals and stakeholders.
What you'll bring to the role:
- The ideal candidate is a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse with 6–12 months of post-registration experience, holding active NMC registration and having completed a preceptorship or equivalent programme.
- Demonstrate ongoing commitment to continuing professional development and possess experience within Mental Health or Learning Disability Nursing.
- Show a positive attitude towards change, quality improvement, and innovation in practice.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and be IT literate.
