Priory Lombard House is looking to recruit a Registered Staff Nurse to join the team on our Rehabilitation and recovery ward. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours. Candidates must hold a full driving license. Due to limits on sponsorship allocations, we are not currently in a position to offer sponsorship to new candidates for these roles, this remains under review.

Located in Norfolk near the market town of Attleborough, Priory Lombard House is a specialist level 2 rehabilitation service for males with a learning disability. Care also extends to a dual diagnosis of autism, personality disorder and mental health conditions, with or without a history of offending behaviour.

What you’ll be doing

  • You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients' wellbeing.
  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
  • Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patient's named nurse.
  • Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.
  • Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
  • Evaluate and respond to changes in patient’s condition and needs.
  • Deal proactively and effectively with suggestions and complaints from patients and their families/carers.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • The ideal candidate will be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6–12 months of post-registration experience, holding an active NMC registration and having completed a preceptorship programme.
  • They will possess a strong understanding of NMC guidelines, requirements, and professional practices, along with evidence of ongoing post-registration continuing professional development.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality are essential, as is the ability to adopt flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Candidates should also have a minimum of six months’ post-registration experience within a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment, with continued professional development in a relevant field.
