Priory Hospital Arnold is an inpatient acute and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU), for males and females struggling with a wide range of mental health conditions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Deliver a high quality, evidence based psychological service for males and females across both Acute and PICU settings.
  • Undertake complex assessments and risk assessment, develop comprehensive formulations and deliver specialist individual and group treatments relevant to the service.
  • Provide clinical supervision for assistant psychologists, deliver reflective practice and develop and deliver training packages for staff of other disciplines, as required.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
  • Work autonomously and perform effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Conduct clinically relevant research.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • All applicants must be eligible for registration with the HCPC and will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check.
  • Experience of working within ACUTE/PICU settings is desirable, however applications from newly qualified psychologists will be considered.
