Priory Hospital Altrincham is looking to recruit a waiter to join the team. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours. Priory Hospital Altrincham provides expert treatment for a range of mental health conditions and addictions. The hospital is comprised of three inpatient units, providing specialist care for adults with a range of mental health challenges and addictions. Altrincham also provides established, evidence-based outpatient treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, stress, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and bipolar disorder.
What you'll be doing
You'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn't involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
- Ensures that all diners are served in a welcoming and courteous manner.
- Ensures the dining area is maintained in line with Priory Operational Standards.
- Ensures that the dining area is kept clean and tidy, and that all tables are cleared and cleaned in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Advises diners on the daily menu, taking account of any food and drink, which may cause an allergic or adverse reaction.
What you'll bring to the role

Basic numeracy and literacy skills are required, along with experience gained within an appropriate professional catering environment. The role involves responding to routine enquiries and providing basic information, primarily to patients, pupils or students, as well as staff and other visitors. There is also a requirement to handle slightly more complex information, which may involve providing explanations when necessary.
