Priory Hospital Kemple View is looking to recruit an advanced clinical practitioner to join the team. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week. Located in Blackburn, Lancashire, Priory Hospital Kemple View is a 90-bedded hospital, offering level 2 rehabilitation, and secure services, for adult males. We can support people with a mental health condition and/or a personality disorder.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
- Undertake initial assessments for service users admitted to the hospital to determine the appropriate level of care to be provided, under the direction and supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist, and work with the ward multi-disciplinary team to ensure delivery of the treatment and care pathway.
- Prepare discharge summaries, MHRT and other reports and other associated documentation as necessary e.g. for CPA meetings.
- Leadership of and participation in learning activities and clinical supervision.
- Participation in Clinical Governance activities, and account for contracted hours utilised in research, clinical audit, Continuing Professional Development and other non-clinical duties as necessary and in a timely manner.
What you'll bring to the role
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows. Applicants must be registered with the NMC as an RMN or RNLD, or with the HCPC, and have relevant clinical experience. They must also be a registered Non-Medical Prescriber and have completed an Advanced Nurse or Clinical Practitioner training course. In terms of experience, candidates should have worked within mental health or learning disability services (depending on the specialty applied for), have experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team, and nursing applicants should have a minimum of one yearβs experience undertaking Non-Medical Prescribing duties.
