We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join our growing team in Cambridge. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of air conditioning systems, with a solid technical background and a professional approach to working on-site.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to diagnose faults efficiently, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work while meeting safety and compliance standards. You will be responsible for working on a variety of commercial and residential AC systems, carrying out installations, servicing, maintenance, and fault finding. Manufacturer and refresher training may be provided to support ongoing development.

The role involves travelling within approximately a 1.5-hour radius from your home address. All fuel is covered, with the potential of a company van.

  • Install, service, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems including split, multi-split, and VRV/VRF systems
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with current F-Gas regulations and health & safety standards
  • Accurately complete job reports and service documentation
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialist AC equipment efficiently
  • Communicate clearly with clients and team members to ensure work is completed to a high standard and on schedule

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar role
  • F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of air conditioning systems and fault-finding techniques
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Good understanding of health & safety and industry regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • A valid UK driver's licence is required
