The Priory Learning Trust is looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor to work at our Priory Community School. The successful candidate must be passionate about helping young people of all abilities and backgrounds realise their potential in different subjects and work effectively in a team to support students' learning and will need to have strong attention to detail.

About the role

  • Assist with the support and delivery of learning in 'Return to Learn' e.g. personal assistance to Teachers, supporting Teachers in the classroom and behaviour intervention work where needed.
  • Supervise the work of whole classes set by their class/subject teacher in accordance with school policy.
  • Manage the behaviour of pupils to ensure a constructive learning environment.

About you

  • Candidate will have a qualification in Literacy and Numeracy equivalent to GCSE Grade A*-C or Level 2, on the national vocational framework.
  • Experience of working as a learning support assistant at level 2 in a Secondary school.
  • Behaviour for Learning training to support classroom practice.
