The Priory Learning Trust is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Officer to join the team at Priory Community School – An Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about student success and eager to thrive in a collaborative environment.

About the role:

  • Support students daily by managing behavioural concerns, conducting incident investigations, and assisting vulnerable groups (SEND, PP, CLA) to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment during lessons and social times.
  • Act as a key link between the school and the community by communicating with parents and carers, conducting home visits, and collaborating with external agencies to improve attendance and student wellbeing.
  • Work alongside Senior Leadership and Pastoral teams to implement academy-wide policies, and maintain a commitment to professional development and rigorous safeguarding standards.

About you:

  • Hold 5 GCSE's including English and Maths, graded A* - C (or equivalent).
  • Experience of working in a busy and varied role, preferably in an education setting.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
  • Be patient and emotionally resilient.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.
