Priory Robinson House are looking to recruit Support Workers to join their team. Full Time, Permanent role working 40hrs p/week 12-hour shifts (08:00 - 20:00) with alternating weekends required at £13.45 p/hour. One sleep in shift required weekly - £35 fixed rate.

Due to a genuine occupational requirement, we are looking to recruit female workers for this particular role.

SLEEP IN SHIFT: When doing a sleep in you will work 08:00 - 21:00 and then clock out to which you will go to the room upstairs for your overnight stay. Should you at any point be required to work, you will clock back in and continue to be paid the standard rate of £13.45 on top of the fixed £35 rate added for your sleep in.

Robinson House is located in Soham, in Ely. The service offers residential support for 10 people who have a primary learning disability diagnosis. Our team are dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the people we support, providing everyone who stays with us with the skills needed to live a healthier and happier life, back in the community.

It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to people’s lives. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support.

What you'll be doing:

  • As a Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.
  • You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living.
  • Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care.
  • Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes.
  • Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals.
  • Assistance and support to attend medical appointments.
  • Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff.
  • Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams.
  • Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth.
