Priory Daffodil House is looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker to join their team. This is a full-time role at £14.25 per hour.

Day Shifts: 8am - 8pm

Two week pattern below:

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Daffodil House (Formerly Church Village) is a new Adult Care service opening in early 2025. It is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment and will be a modern, top of the line residential service dedicated to achieving positive outcomes and enabling our residents to live their best lives.

What you'll be doing:

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents' wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will:

  • Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.
  • Provide support with day-to-day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living.
  • Help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
  • Supervise colleagues, lead team meetings and support your peers with their performance and professional development.
  • Lead support planning and act as point of contact in the absence of site leadership.
  • Assist with the management of site petty cash and client funds.
  • Support with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes.
  • Assist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals.
  • Provide assistance and support to attend medical appointments.
  • Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff.
  • Support the development of important family connections and liaise with specialists, including Speech.
