Priory Hospital Suttons Manor is looking to recruit Support Workers to join their team. This is a full-time role with day shifts from 7.45am to 8.15pm and night shifts from 7.45pm to 8.15am, following a 2-week rolling rota of 3 shifts and 4 shifts per week at £13.45 per hour.

Priory Hospital Suttons Manor is set in Stapleford Tawney, a village and civil parish in the Epping Forest district, near the town of Romford. The hospital is set in its own attractive grounds of over nine acres, which supports an amazing horticulture programme and grants access to an idyllic countryside landscape, promoting wellbeing.

What you'll be doing:
- Be part of a compassionate team committed to residents' wellbeing.
- Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans.
- Undertake routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity, and treatment of residents.
- Provide support with day-to-day activities while encouraging and promoting independent living.
- Help people reach their potential through practical and emotional support.
- Support with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating, and personal hygiene.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes.
- Assist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning, and movement of individuals.
- Provide assistance and support to attend medical appointments.
- Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to senior staff.
- Support the development of important family connections and liaise with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams.
- Encourage participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience working within Mental Health as a support worker.
- Inpatient services experience.
- Desirable: Care certificate.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature.
- Empathy, understanding, and patience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures.
- Competent in verbal and written English.
- A healthcare qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Right to work in the UK.
