The predicted salary is between 45 - 45 £ per hour.

We are looking to recruit a Support Worker to join our team in Newport. This is a full time (40HR pw) role. Shift options: 08:00 - 16:00 / 08:00 - 18:00 / 10:00 - 22:00 / 12:00 - 22:00 £13:45 per hour.

What you’ll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents' wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of our residents and tenants. You will provide support with day-to-day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. Through both practical and emotional support, you’ll help people reach their potential and make a positive difference to their lives.

  • Encouraging people to live as independently as possible, while supporting them in building their life skills and achieving goals at their own pace.
  • Supporting tenants in a person‑centred way, which can include assisting with personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living skills, including maintenance of their tenancy.
  • Complete daily administration of electronic and paper records with the involvement of the individual as appropriate.
  • Supporting the individual in maintaining their health and wellbeing, which may involve liaising with other specialists.
  • Supporting and encouraging the individual’s participation and integration in the local community through activities and interests that meet their ambitions and help them achieve outcomes in their chosen way.
  • Embedding the REACH standards in everyday practice.
  • Following company policies and procedures.
