Levitt Mill & Barn is looking to recruit a Support Worker to join the team.
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour
Hours: Full-Time, 35 hours per week
Shifts: Early shift 08.00 to 15.00; late shift 15.00 to 22.00; some occasions could be a long shift from 08.00 to 22.00.
Levitt Mill and Barn offers residential support for 11 people who have a learning disability and/or are autistic. We are located in a semi-rural setting, in a listed building with its own unique history, situated in the centre of its own grounds in a peaceful woodland setting at the side of a small stream. Our team is dedicated to supporting the people we care for to live as independently as possible by developing their daily living and social skills in a safe and homely environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Be part of a compassionate team committed to our residents' wellbeing.
- Take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence.
- Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans.
- Undertake routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.
- Support with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bedclothes.
- Assist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals.
- Provide assistance and support to attend medical appointments.
- Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff.
- Encourage participation in social and recreational activities.
