Main duties

  • Provide high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to children and young adults with autism and associated complex health needs, including epilepsy, gastrostomy care, wound management and other medical conditions.
  • Promote the health, wellbeing and safety of young people through evidence‑based clinical practice, effective multi‑disciplinary working and positive partnerships with families and external professionals.
  • Support Priors Court in maintaining a safe, caring, autism‑informed, and therapeutic environment that reflects the organisation’s values and commitment to outstanding care.

About us

Priors Court is a not‑for‑profit registered charity providing education and residential care for autistic young people with complex needs, aged 5‑25. Set within a 50‑acre site in Berkshire, we have extensive bespoke facilities to help the young people we support to be healthy, happy, more independent and have opportunities to access the world of work.

Person Specification

Experience – Essential

  • Experience supporting children or young adults with complex health needs
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Experience in medicines management and clinical record keeping
  • Experience delivering training or guidance to staff

We welcome newly qualified applicants and offer a preceptorship programme.

Qualifications – Essential

  • Registered Nurse qualification RNLD, RGN, RMN or RSCN
  • Current NMC registration
