Our Finance team plays a vital role in making that possible - and we’re looking for a talented Management Accountant to join us.

The role of Management Accountant
We are looking for a fully qualified ACCA accountant with a sharp analytical mind, a passion for accuracy, and the ambition to keep developing your career. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within a supportive, purpose-led environment. As a key member of our finance team, you’ll help ensure the charity’s financial operations run efficiently, with accurate, timely reporting that supports informed decision-making and ultimately benefits the young people we serve.
- Producing consolidated monthly management accounts with insightful variance analysis and commentary
- Leading month-end processes, including journals, reconciliations, and ownership of key balance sheet areas
- Providing financial insights that drive performance, alongside cash flow forecasting and ad hoc analysis
- Overseeing quarterly VAT returns, including partial exemption calculations, and submitting monthly ONS surveys
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, continuous improvement initiatives, and system enhancements
- Assisting with year-end audit preparation, providing team holiday cover, and occasionally deputising for the Director of Finance
Any other tasks as directed to meet the requirements of the role and to always operate in a style that is consistent with the values and vision of Prior’s Court.
About you
With a minimum of three years’ experience in management accounting and financial processing, you’ll bring ACCA qualification, strong organisational abilities, and the confidence to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail. You’ll be highly numerate, analytical, and skilled at problem-solving, with clear communication skills and proficiency across Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word. A collaborative, team-focused approach is essential, along with an understanding of how your work supports others across the organisation. Experience with Sage Intacct, exposure to the charity, not-for-profit, or education sectors, and an understanding of autism or complex needs environments would be valuable additions.
