Our Night Autism Practitioners play a key role in supporting autistic young people with complex needs at Prior's Court to improve their sleep patterns and, together with the education and residential teams, in building their independence and life skills.
3 - 4 nights per week on a flexible or fixed shift basis. Support to gain your Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare. No experience is required - but more experience equals a higher salary. We operate a 'levels' system within this role, where more experience results in a higher salary.
You will work through the night between 3 - 4 shifts a week to support the young people in undertaking their night-time routine, putting in place the structure and prompts to enable them to undertake tasks as independently as possible and to learn skills ranging from toileting, washing, dressing and personal care to communication and social skills.
Our thorough training and induction programme will ensure you have the support, skills and tools you need to deliver quality care for each young person. We will even support you to complete your HABC Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) (RQF) if you are not yet qualified - a statutory requirement for a career in childcare.
This role is for night shifts only - we also have vacancies for day shifts.
For those who are not experienced in care, we offer a comprehensive, free training programme including hands-on working alongside experienced and senior team members, resulting in the completion of a Level 3 diploma – you will gain a salary increase upon completion of the Diploma (usually within your first 12 months) and become eligible for promotion to Autism Practitioner Level 2.
