Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Fire Consultant, based in Croydon, with flexibility to work from home part-time. The Fire Consultant will provide expert guidance on fire safety compliance, conduct fire risk assessments, design and review fire safety strategies, and ensure adherence to local regulations and industry standards. Additional responsibilities include preparing detailed reports, collaborating with clients and design teams, and supporting project management regarding fire safety aspects.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Fire Safety Compliance, including fire risk assessments and fire safety strategy development
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as Building Regulations and Fire Safety Act compliance
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in report writing and presenting findings to clients and stakeholders
  • Experience collaborating with design teams, project managers, and other professionals
  • Accredited fire safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH Fire Safety or equivalent) is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Willingness to travel within the UK for on-site assessments
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is an advantage
  • Fire Engineering degree with relevant accreditation highly desirable
  • Membership of relevant accreditation bodies like the IFE
