Shift and schedule: Shift pattern: 160 hours per month (average 40 hours per week) Rota basis: 2 days on sleep-in, followed by 4 days off

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual who can lead by example, support a staff team, and provide high-quality care. Salary & Benefits:

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Leading shifts and supporting team members to deliver high-quality care
- Supporting the Home Manager and deputising in their absence
- Supervising staff and supporting performance and development
- Ensuring safeguarding and child protection standards are upheld at all times
- Supporting children with daily routines, activities, and emotional wellbeing
- Acting as a positive role model for both young people and staff
- Contributing to care planning and attending reviews/meetings
- Supporting behaviour using appropriate strategies and therapeutic approaches
- Liaising with external professionals such as social workers, schools, and therapists
- Supporting the induction and development of new staff
- Ensuring health & safety procedures and risk assessments are followed
Household responsibilities include:
- Supporting with the day-to-day running of the home
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Promoting a healthy lifestyle for children and young people
- Ensuring the home environment is safe, structured, and welcoming
Successful Candidate:
- Previous experience working in children's residential care (essential)
- Experience in a senior or leadership role (preferred)
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Ability to lead shifts and support a team effectively
- Calm, resilient, and confident approach
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Flexible to work shifts, including sleep-ins and weekends
- Commitment to continuous professional development
